BONNIE WINTZ BOROIAN

Bonnie Boroian 300When we asked Bonnie why she serves at Place of Hope, she said, “The definition of a house is: A building for human habitation, the definition of a home is: The place where one lives as a member of a family. As Angel Mom’s we have the wonderful opportunity to help Place of Hope make the houses they build for foster children into the best homes possible for the children who come to live in them. What a joy it is to enhance these children’s lives in small ways that make a big difference! They love being spoiled with a homemade meal made especially for them because they told you it was their favorite. Just asking how their school day went, and knowing that you really care about the answer, brings a smile where there wasn’t one before. Sharing a Matt Christopher book you know they’d like because you heard them say that baseball is their favorite sport is a way to open a door to increase their literary interest for years to come. These are some of the things our mothers did for us every day, and that we do for our children. It is a blessing to share a piece of ourselves in our mothering role with the beautiful children at Place of Hope, and to see the happiness it brings to them!”
