Unfortunately, human trafficking is not something that just our foster kids and homeless youth are vulnerable to. Human trafficking can happen to anyone, and our community kids are at-risk of being trafficked as well. In an effort to educate everyone on this growing issue of human trafficking and prevent more children from becoming victims, Place of Hope provides prevention and education services.
“The My Life My Choice groups have provided solid knowledge and insight for our girls into what human trafficking encompasses, as well as helping to build their self-esteem, pride in themselves, learning to express themselves and protecting themselves.” Jeaneen West, Milagros Center
“They have gained skills and awareness of the issues surrounding child exploitation, and also felt a growth in confidence and bonding from participation in the group.” Erin Sinsley, Osceola Creek Middle School
“I volunteer because even if one person can be helped due to our efforts, that’s a win!” – Tracy Leder, Hope Campaign Volunteer
“We are thankful to have partnered with Place of Hope who provided educational training via informative presentations to our staff and helped raise awareness among caregivers of this important issue.”- Ruth Schwarzkopf, West Boca Medical Center, Chief Nursing Officer,
“In the land of sunshine, there shouldn’t be such darkness. Place of Hope is a leader in providing victims of human trafficking the love they need and a sunnier future. FPL stands with Place of Hope because their work reflects our commitment to a high quality of life in the communities we serve so businesses and families can grow and thrive.” Thomas Bean, FPL, Director of Public Community Engagement
