Our History

In 2013, The Haven, Inc. donated its assets to Place of Hope so that the local child welfare system would continue to benefit from high quality services. We commenced operations as Place of Hope at The Haven, Inc. We are honored to steward and expand on The Haven’s mission and resources, which their supporters championed and entrusted to them for many years. We look forward to advancing their legacy and caring for children and youth in desperate need.

We have been blessed by our generous board member, Dr. Leighan Rinker, and her husband, for providing our campus with a new name: Place of Hope at The Leighan and David Rinker Campus! The official name was changed in early 2015.

Place of Hope also has a rich and celebrated history in Palm Beach County. We provide a full continuum of care for over 340 children and youth daily.  We are the largest provider of faith-based, family outreach and intervention, maternity care, human trafficking education and prevention for the community, recovery for victims of domestic minor sex and labor trafficking, affordable transitional housing and supportive services for young adults, housing and support for homeless families, foster care recruitment, hope and healing opportunities for children, youth and families throughout our region.
