“I came to live at Place of Hope when I was 12 years old. It was hard for me, to be taken out of my home and brought to a brand new place; however from the very first week, I knew that Place of Hope was going to be a good place for me. I was able to grow and learn in ways that I had never experienced before. My cottage parents were awesome and provided a consistency that I had never had. They modeled what a Christian marriage and family is supposed to be and taught me how to genuinely live out my faith. Through the guidance of my family and mentors at Place of Hope, I discovered that I could be successful in life. I was able to graduate from high school and even went on to graduate from Liberty University. I am now pursuing my dream of a career in music. The unique influence of faith-based foster care changed my life and gave me the courage and confidence to move to Nashville and start my own campaign to raise funds to record my first record.
